Discover Auburn Week Overview   

Dates: May 10 - 17, 2008

Purpose:

The Auburn Tourism Board is celebrating National Tourism Week with a week - long “Discover Auburn Week” showcasing all the tourism opportunities available in Auburn to our local residents.  The Board’s focus this year is to educate our citizens first about what is in their own backyard – while at the same time promoting Auburn as a tourist destination.

Beginning on May 10th you will have the opportunity to learn more about your community by

attending daily events and tourist destinations.

Goal:

Our goal for our inaugural year is to make our own citizens more aware of all the tourism and art destinations in Auburn, as well as our great hotels.

Passport Game:

Fifty-thousand Passport booklets will be inserted in the Auburn Reporter on May 7, for the chance to win numerous prizes and three Grand Prizes. Get your Passport stamped from at least five of the sixteen locations during “Discover Auburn Week”.  Then leave your stamped entry at any of our event locations or drop it in the mail.

Passport Game Rules:

• Collect stamps from at least 5 destinations to be eligible to win one of three Grand Prizes from Emerald Downs, SuperMall or White River Amphitheatre.
• Additional Special Drawings may be available at various destinations.
• Rules for those drawings are subject to the destinations’ own guidelines.
• The perforated card is your entry form.
• Entries must be postmarked by May 24, 2008.
• Need not be present to win.
• Grand Prizes will be drawn at 10:00 am, May 29, 2008 at the Tourist Information Center.
• Must be 21 years or older to win.
• One entry per person.
• Prizes are subject to availability and dates listed on the certificates.

Admission, Reserved Box Seating, Valet Parking Official Programs and Tip Sheets, $120 Gift Card that you can redeem anywhere at the track, expert handicapper will visit your box, special guided tour of the saddling Paddock, a race named in your honor with a presentation in the Winner’s Circle and receive a commemorative color photo of your special day at Emerald Downs.
